Harry Truman decided to take a vacation in June 1953.
He and Bess woulddrive to Washington DC. This is about
their trip. I really loved this book and I think Patsy would too.
It tells all the places he stopped. One town marshall made his
deputies shadow Harry until he left town. Did not want something
to happen under his watch. (This is later--not during 1953) Someone
tried to get him to sign a photo of him with Nixon in it too. He
said...he would not sign a picture of that SOB. He did not like Johnson either.

oh Betty this is my kind of book...I love reading about people I know a little about
