What's Happening!! Just for Helen!

Here's some pictures around the place!  We only got a sprinkle today and need a rain!
The top is my Day Lily garden--Forgotten Dreams--is what they are called.
Here are my two hanging baskets....did not get them from the bottom of the cave.  One is that flowering moss Momma liked and the other is impatients.
This is a Muscadine that I started last year in my flower garden and it is doing good about ready to set out where and add a trellis.  The flags mark my gourds but I guess it is not hot enough for them.
Here is the first of the drip system.  The row is tomatoes and I just put them out this weekend.  I planted Park's Whoppers, Beef Masters, Celebrity, Rutgers, Mar-globes, and about 5 that came up volunteer in my  garden.
Boston Ferns that I bought this weekend.
 Begonias.

Siggie's garden!  She planted sweet peppers, mild hot peppers, flowers and cilantro.
Here are the 4 o'clock--Fleta says they are ugly.
I call this my Grandma Gaddy garden and she grew these on Walnut St. in Harrison, AR.  Someone I know lives on Walnut St. today.

This is a flower bed I have done nothing to yet.
Here is my tree with Ivy.  Larry built the flower bed around it and the Ivy has really took off.  The bird love the Ivy.
My garden and Larry's in the 'afar'.
Larry is getting ready to plant watermelons.  See that dark strip...that is for the Black Diamonds and some yellow meated melon.  If you really look you can see his corn up.

Reading

I am reading this book by Melissa Fay Greene.  I read a book by her called Praying for Sheetrock.   It was good and this one looks like it will be too.

Feisty

It was warm here today.  Larry has the drip row in for my tomatoes and they loved the drink!

Making a Bed For My Tomatoes!

For The Birds!

Enjoyed the birds this evening after I got off work.  I made a cup of coffee and had some graham crackers with the cup as I watched the Galla Meadow birds!  These are the Blue Birds I have Mountain Blue Birds are even prettier.  They are solid blue where these have an orange belly!

Listen to the Mockingbird!

Mockingbirds were singing and flying all over my backyard this evening. They usually are only in my front yard, but tonight they were entertaining me and I sure enjoyed their songs.

Get Set

Today, I rested my knee. I signed up for my Social Security. Only 6 more weeks of labor.
Up top is a Catawba tree, a squirrel hunter from GA gave us. The first year I kept it in a flower pot...set it out last spring. Looking good.
This is a Red Bud tree I dug up over the fence. It may bloom next year.
Larry has put water right next to my chicken pen. Great convenience. What more could anyone want. I lift a lid to get eggs and now have water at my chicken pen.
Above is what I DO NOT like about Banties and below a hen is taking a bath.

This is one of my pretty red hens the nurse at school gave me. I have 5 of them. Below is the Lambs Ear Fleta gave me. I may have to move it to a more sunny spot.
This is Honeysuckle and I wish you could have smelled it today.

This is a wild white rose.
And a wild pink one.
Here is my garden with the grass growing in it. Luckily it was to wet to work in today.
