Sigrid's friend had a swim party for her birthday. In the middle of winter, it is a perfect party. Sigrid loved it.

Helen's Home
See that fence behind Helen's home--that is George's property line. If he moved her any farther she would be living on the Marr place or the guy who joins Fleta on the hill.

Velvet Touch
Velvet Sacks fixed Mom's picture. Doesn't she have a velvet touch! Below is me and I am at least 10 years older than Mom in the above photo, but when I was that age I wore that hay stack hairdo and looked different. I think I look just like my Momma. Look, Velvet took the glare off my glasses and matched me to
Mom.

Happy Birthday, Momma
January 24, 1921--I think Patsy said Momma had this made to send to Daddy. Isn't she pretty? This picture had been carried by someone. Maybe this is the one she sent overseas to him.

Erin's Audit
Green Beans
Last evening I cooked green beans and corn from the freezer. They were both really good. Helen told me to just snap the beans and put them up without blanching and they would still be good and tada they were.
She said Daddy put them up this way. The corn (cut off the cob) was really good too. I had baked sweet potatoes with it. Yes, they were from the garden. It will not be long until I will be planting again. I am anxious. Last year, we did not have central air. This year, I plan to keep the house cool and when I am finished I will have a nice place to put my feet up and rest.
I have let the birds down. The feeders are empty and I am too lazy to go buy more sunflower seeds.

In The Pink
Yesterday at school, Clayton's behavior color was pink. Pink is the best. This is his first time to get perfect behavior. He is learning how to navigate through the rules of school. Erin made him a list of rules to follow at home. Greta does not give a rip about rules! I love them both and am so proud of their Momma.

Siggie and Friends
Sigrid's friend Marley (girl with glasses) had a birthday and the friends are celebrating Marley's big day. Marley stayed all night with Sigrid last weekend and Laura told her at 10:30 A. M the next morn that she had to go to town so she was taking Marley home. Marley said "I can't go home for I have not got to see Pop and Gigi"!! Of course Pop and Gigi love Marley, too!
Playing With The Big Girls
Laura sent me this picture last night. Astrid got to play in the big game. Astrid plays nearly every position on the team. She may have to bring the ball down, but if the post player gets in foul trouble she even plays low post!
Hello
What a dear photo. Momma's sewing machine, the old black wall phone (I was in 6th grade when we got it...or maybe 5th), Helen's paint by number picture, Momma's curtains with lace trim, Debbie's special toy, and the green walls and the vinyl green kitchen chair! But Deb is the most precious of all.

Greta The Gymnast
Greta started tumbling this evening. Erin said at first she held on to Mom's leg and did not want to get going, but she went with the teacher and soon she was performing her stunts and after each gave the teacher a high five!

Advertising!
I took this a little ways off but Astrid is advertising for her orthodontist.
We went to her basketball game. Astrid was the only player that stayed in the entire game. Several of the games have been cancelled because of the weather.

Thief
Some are so hungry they would steal food from a neighbor slipping into the pantry, vigilant, always looking around to see if someone is coming and then snatching what they set their eyes on as the owner sleeps a foot away warm in their bed.
