Alpena Powell Reunion 2015

 Daisy Powell, Mary Powell, Peggy Friend, and Stella Powell talk about Stella's purse.  Mary had back surgery a year ago.  She is doing better.  She can walk with a walker inside her home at Nashville, AR.  She says at least she is not in constant pain.  Peggy's son Aaron Friend has recently graduated from College with a degree to teach history and language arts.  He is looking for his first teaching position.

 The reunion celebrates, Kenny Powell.  He said he was 67.  Above he is with Frankie and his wife and below--maybe Frankie's daughter and the worker from his home.

I heard Donnie talking to him about Birdie Blevins near where they grew up.  Kenny was slower in body, but his mind was still sharp!

Stella's Grandson, Kendell Underwood, just passed the bar and is a lawyer in Rogers.

 Mary Ellen Rudd Flourney? visits with Rudd kin as does Donnie Powell and Frankie's wife.  I do not know her first name.  She is a very nice lady!

 Virginia Lee and Donnie.  Fleta told about Donnie and Frankie both driving our school bus and Donnie getting it stuck in the red mud at the top of Meek hill.

 Donnie and Mary Alred Powell.  He said a prayer before we ate and it was a blessing to all of us to hear.  Donnie thanked the Lord from where we came and to where we have arrived!   Plus, Donnie said HE will continue to provide our every need.

 Kenny Gatlin, Jimmy Powell, Bob Knight and Jenna Lee!  Jimmy looked great. Virginia's daughter lives in Arlington, VA now.  Virginia's last name is Montgomery.

 Stella and Peggy Friend.  Peggy told me about being "in love" with Clayton when she was a little girl.  They lived at Clinton and he and Angie at Scotland.  She asked about Marie.  I told her Clayton was one of the best men I have ever known.   How he helped so many along his journey though this world without ever taking any praise for it.

 Frankie, Kenny Gatlin, Jimmy, and sweet, sweet Donnie Powell.  Donnie, Mary and Peggy Friend live in Nashville AR.  Peggy is a dental assistant and works with the disabled on the week end.

 My beloved friend, Jonell, with OUR cousins Donnie and Virginia.  Jonell's Granddaughter, Vanessa Gatlin, is going to College in Ozark, AR.  It is a part of AR Tech University

Sister Helen--everyone missed you, but they missed Brother Clayton and Sister Patsy more!  They all loved them both!  Bob Knight said he was the only one that still smoked.  He had his pipe in his pocket just like Uncle Chuck!
