Barns in our Family

Uncle Truman’s barn
Uncle Floyd with his team and below is Uncle Floyd’s barn.
So now I’m wishing for a picture of Dad’s old barn.  Patsy said it was a better building than his house when he bought the farm.

Praying my sister’s will have a picture of our old barn.

Uncle Truman’s and his working team.

Grandpa Powell’s barn and below Uncle Truman’s barn.  Frankie Powell helped build it in 1959.  Mixed the concrete by hand, cut the boards with a hand saw, bought the boards from R.T. Powell who had a saw mill at the time.  Frankie said they hauled gravel with a team and wagon from long creek down by Bill Rands place.

My mom said her dad helped build a lot of the barns around where he lived.
