Brighter Side

 I like to show the brighter side of things.  When Momma made her quilts out of old clothes, she tried to turn the pieces to show the brightest side.  These quilts were made for everyday use not for “pretty”.  Today those old pieced quilts are my favorites of all she made.  They covered us just as she did.

Life's fabric has worn thin;

'tis darned and patched and tied.

It has been turned so many times

to show the brighter side.
