Christmas card pictures have been around a long time. The last few years I haven’t sent Christmas cards. If I get one I send one back. In November 1971, Larry and I had our picture made for Christmas.Ethel bought my dress. That jacket was knee length and it was made of double knit. Nearly everything was made of that synthetic fabric. Astrid and Logan had theirs made this year for their cards. Their clothes are from Tractors Supply, a farm store. They love farm life. They’ll put several photos on one side and a larger one will be featured on the other side. I think they get them from Shutterfly. They’re not expensive.Larry and I went to Olan Mills. Olan Mills was founded in 1932 by Olan and his wife Mary in Chattanooga, TN. They produced portrait pictures and church directories. Lifetouch bought Olan Mills in 2011 and have since closed all their facilities.
One of the first personalized Christmas cards was sent by Annie Oakley in 1891. In the 1920’s Hallmark offered the service and by the 1960’s it was popular at Christmas.
In 1843 Sir Henry Cole of London sent a personalized Christmas card. In 1611 a subject sent a personalized card to King James. Surveys show between 75 and 80 percent of Americans send Christmas cards today.

What a nice photo of you and Larry! I also like your Grands photos...what a good photographer they had!
Larry and you were a very good-looking couple! I now do New Year cards and anyone who sends me an Xmas (or NY) card gets one. I use Shutterfly--a tip is to make the card/project and then let it sit in your cart for a while. Shutterfly will usually offer you deals to buy it. Love the beautiful photos!
