As Nixon said........

I am not a crook. I did not steal cousin Winn's Red Tree, I have my own!
My red tree is a Black Gum and it sits by the new pup pens in the Meadow. I will be living there on Sunday. So if you come looking for me on Galla Creek Lane...I will not be home!

My Red Tree

I got my new computer. I did not have to pay anything. Fleta, I got the spider program, the internet ftp program, word, paint shop pro, family tree maker all loaded on it. Sound would not work but after messing with it for a few hours, I got that to work. Paint shop would not install so i copied the entire file on the desktop and looked at the files and hit the one that said install, and tada it installed it. But I don't know why it would not install from the cd. Now, if I can get the web site stuff put in the ftb program. I know that will be hard for me. I will have to call suport for help. You know that number it starts 870 438 ....

They sent my hard drive off and hopefully I will get all my files in about a week.

I like the new operating system. I think it is called 7. It is more like windows xp than vista.

Japanese Maple

I am looking for a Japanese Maple. I hope I can find one. This one is over 25 years old and I will not live that long...so I hope mine will grow faster and look as pretty as Winnie's.

Erin's Fall Scenes

Two of Erin's pictures...the one is out her living room window. She got all new windows and I bet Greg puts new trim around them. We are going up for Thanksgiving and I am excited to see everything.

Galla Rest

I have been teaching Sunday School and this weeks lesson was on the Sabbath Rest. I think my rest on this earth will be in Galla Meadow which I may rename Galla Rest. I teach the older folks class so they know a lot about the Bible. Hebrews 4: 1-11 was this weeks passage. Anyway, here is Galla Rest.

Moved a few bowls today

I moved three bowls today, Fleta. Momma got me three bowls when Larry and I got married...January, 1971 and she got me three big spoons for the bowls. She said one bowl was for beans, one for potatoes, and the other bowl was just in case you had anything else to cook. The 3 big spoons were for the bowls. The first year, Fleta, I usually only had to use two of the bowls each meal as I did not have anything for the third one. I am glad I have never broken them. I moved them today. I have not moved the 3 big spoons as I am using them here until I move.

Cocoa--Better than a bycycle

Helen says we got Cocoa about 1964. The picture with Dad was June of 67. I was working at Branson is why I don't remember it. I started working at about 14 years of age and I am still going. Cocoa was the best pony any kid could have and beautiful too.

Cocoa

I know Helen did not take her sleep aid, and I enjoyed all the pictures she posted. I think this was the very day that Dad brought Cocoa home from Eldridge Mill in the back seat of his car.
What a love he had for all of us.

Time Flies

This oak tree came up at the edge of Larry's Mom's garden. It was just a little thing about 4 inches tall. She said she had no oak trees and put a concrete block over it so Papa would not mow it down. When she passed away it was about 3 feet tall. Time goes by and what we plant sometimes will grow...sometimes not. I will always think of Ethel when I look at the oak tree.
