We live 2 miles from the Interstate. A convict stabbed a trooper and jumped from his car. We looked over at Laura's house this afternoon and 3 police cars were in her drive. She called giving us a report and saying they wanted permission to cross the Meadow to search around Galla Lake. He is around here somewhere they said. Nope, they did not find him. Glad we have these Feists to tell us when an intruder ventures near.

Green Forest 1910

My morning ritual is -- get up, start coffee, get my paper and then read the news. I always look at the Arkansas Post Card. Today it was Green Forest 1910. The bottom says--There was no traffic on the Carroll County rural hamlet's North Springfield Street. Mailed to Kansas City, MO. Goes on....Dear Friend, Well, I will try and answer your card today. We are all well. It is raining here today just like it was the last Sunday you were here. Tomato crop on full blast now. We have 25 jars of tomatoes canned now. Nellie helped us. Got the patterns all right. Much obliged.

Book Worm

Ingrid loves to read. Astrid reads well and Sigrid is good at anything she takes her mind too. But I am proud that Ingrid often is off in her room reading a book.

Physical Therapy

My knee had a deficit so I begin physical therapy next week. Was supposed to stat Monday but we are out of school so I will start later. I am going 3 days a week. Hope to be a new woman!

After 40 years

After teaching 40 years sometimes you go to the Doc and he is one of your kids. My doctor was out again today. he had cancelled my appt. twice and my knee still hurts well I said I need to see someone and low and behold...got one of my kids. Needless to say, I start knee therapy tomorrow. I have to go back to see the Dr. for a follow up in 2 months so I asked Jeremy if I could see him then and he said sure! What a blessing to have a Dr. who was your student.

Blogs are Helpful

They want photos at school of the teachers when they were age 11 or 12. I could recall that one of us posted some school pictures on their blog and I thought it was Helen. I searched today to no avail...so I called Smart Sis and she found this one. I am not really middle school age but I will use it. Thanks, Helen.

Ingrid is a very, very good reader! Way beyond 4th grade level. She reads huge books and goes into her room and stays alone for hours with her book. Does that sound like anyone, Patsy?

Laura played batman with Clayton. He needed a car so Laura said here is Siggie's Barbie car with two girls in it. They had to dish those girls as he said no Barbies allowed in Batman's world.
Astrid was quiet as usual and her beautiful qualities lit up the room!
