Yesterday was a stay inside and stare out the window kind of a day. Astrid let Piper have a spa day. Piper has painted nails! I studied two red birds. It’s 15 here this morning. Hoping the sun will shine even in this chill.
My son in law Eric brought me my fav—plain raised doughnut—for breakfast. I’m living the good life.
Did you carry water and help chop wood growing up? Fleta, Helen and I did. If we had a supply of stove wood, we still gathered kindling each night for Momma to start the fire with! We never had boots. We put our shoes on the stove board to dry out! Momma got up early and started the fire. Dad was up early too, but she was better at fire starting. There were cows to milk and animals to tend to. I can’t say I’d like to go back to those “good ole days” like many say.
At 1:00 PM it started snowing. It’s not supposed to be above freezing til Wednesday. My backyard after it started.
Erin sent this photo. Her snow started before ours. I will say—I don’t like this weather at all.
