Walked today and I was amazed at the gulls walking on frozen at Lake Dardanelle! They are probably Ring-billed Gulls! They wouldn’t let me get very near! But they were really pretty.
Ring-billed gulls nest in colonies on the ground, or sometimes in trees near lakes. They often nest near other water birds. The male and female work together to build the nest out of twigs, sticks, grasses, leaves, lichens and mosses. The female lays three eggs.
