Storms Tonight

Yippity, skippity, my cousins Winn and Mike in Missouri sent me a Missouri Wild Flower book. It’s sorted by color. Arkansas and Missouri wildflowers are virtually the same

Made a dough cover for Laura’s school chum. The orange yellow is for Wilson Short. Yes, guys make bread too. He bakes sourdough.

Til the storm passes by, I will just exist. I don’t like snow and cold plus snow is even worse.  I changed the words to the Mosie Luster song.

I hung a quilt over my sliding door to conserve heat. I’m not fancy, just trying not to freeze.

'Til the storm passes over, 'til the snow falls no more

'Til the ice vanishes forever from the sky

Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand

Keep me safe 'til the storm passes by.

Mosie Lister, 1921 – 2015, was an American singer and Baptist minister. He was best known for writing the Gospel songs "Where No One Stands Alone", "Till the Storm Passes By", "Then I Met the Master" and "How Long Has It Been?" As a singer, he was an original member in The Statesmen Quartet! He was born in Georgia, served in the Navy during WWII. Many recorded his songs—George Beverly Shea, Porter Wagoner, Bill Gaither, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, and Elvis Presley. Elvis recorded three of Lister's songs in the 1960s: "Where No One Stands Alone" "He Knows Just What I Need" and "His Hand in Mine".

I donated puzzles to my library and found you can check out puzzles. I got two. Put one together yesterday and this morning. I may go back and get a couple more today. Til the storm passes by…..

I cover a couple of exterior brick walls with fake fleece on the inside. Really cut down the cold draft. Linda in Kansas
