At Green Forest Today

Larry bought a trailer at Cassville, Mo.  We left about noon and just got home. We went up through Rogers, but came home Hwy 86 and then down to Berryville through Green Forest to Harrison and home. I thought of Patsy, Tony, Fleta, Clayton, and Erin, but we were pulling a 16 foot trailer so we just kept moving.  I wondered which beer joint Clayton worked at as we could have pulled over there, but we would have had to stop at all of them and I would had to go in the joint and ask for Clayton.  So we just kept rolling.

This Iris is in my front yard under the apple tree.

Strawberry Cake and Coffee

Laura made Strawberry cake and bought us some to have with our coffee.  It was very good.  The white lacy table decoration was made by Patsy.  She had it starched and standing but after it got dirty and I washed it, it has looked like this...very pretty.

Purple Finch

I have been seeing this bird at my feeders and I think it is a Purple Finch.
I found the picture below showing one and I think this is my new friend.

Treed in The Yard

New Flower Beds

 Larry is building me flower beds in front.  I will probably put his mother's Irises in two of them and what I think is Tiger Lilies in the third one.  This shows one but I have two finished.  Siggie liked them and so do I.

Visitor

Astrid has been coming over to ride the four wheeler. It is not automatic and she has to shift the gears.  Larry sits on the back porch and watches.  She is growing up and does not come to see us like she used to so it is nice to have a lure to pull her to our house.

Finches Finding Feeders

 The Gold Finch are glad I relocated the feeders.  Other birds are feeding too.  I have had a few black birds but nothing like before.

Rearranged My Furniture

 Larry said if I put my bird feed closer to the house we would have less black birds.  So I put the wind noise makers where the feeders were and the feeders nearer to the house.  I am hoping to say "black bird, black bird, flew away and did not come another day."  The Gold Finch have already found the feed.  Cardinals are still leery. 

Erin's Hike To Rush Mining District

 Erin and the kids went hiking somewhere.  I can't recall what she called it.  Or this maybe from another weekend.  When Greg works all night, she tries to take the kids out to a park or hike or something so he
can sleep.  Greg works 12 hours each evening.  That is 7 at night until 7 the next morning.  He will work 2 days and be off then work 3 days and be off...or something like that.  Greta pounds on his door telling him to get up.  Isn't she sweet!

King's Bluff

 The top picture is King's Bluff and below is Pedestal Rocks revisited.  I am bringing up the rear in all the photos.  The trail was 4 miles...but again...I swear they lied on that sign...I am sure it was 8 miles!

Siggie's Garden

 Pop and Siggie went to the store and bought flowers for her garden.  She put the rocks in so she can step to the bird bath to fill it.  She noticed the one rock looked like Arkansas!

Finches Galore

 Siggie must be out of bird feed because today the Finches were busy at my feeders!
