we had a Christmas tree that year and we had very little to decorate the tree. i hung your necklace on the tree . it was gold and shiny. mama did her usual thing and drug the tree out and burn it as soon as she could. we were at school and mama burned the tree with your necklace on it.i went out and found it but it was ruined. we had so little in those days. so when she burned the tree we didn't have your pretty necklace either. look back on those days and wonder how we survived .
This picture of Aunt Betty was taken in our living room....I just loved it when she came for a visit....Betty...I wish I could gave you a big Birthday Hug!!!
