Soda Shop


This is my friend working at her father's
pharmacy at Atkins, AR in the 1950s.
Nearly all pharmacies had a soda fountain.
Ours was called Bishop's Drug Store. The
malts cost 10 cents when I was going to school.

Neat photos! I see she has her saddle oxfords on. Those were the good ole days!

Speaking of malts, it is really hard to find them anymore. I can find shakes but no one seems to use malt powder and really, I'd rather have a malt.

I could get a malt and Fritos at
Bishop's Drug and spend 15 cents.
