I'm kinda late to post but i had to! I was looking for pictures of ben hur and i came up on your site. My mom was raised there and her dad actually owned or maybe ran that store for some time. I was so excited esp. since I had never really seen the store except when it was falling down in the 60's. But I do remember going to get the mail from Mrs. Vergie. I'll check back and hopefully you'll post more pictures or tell more stories! By the way, I knew it was 1969 and I was there!
