Ingrid the Star

Ingrid was the star of her kindergarten's musical
Going to Brenden town...she played the donkey. She
knew all the songs and all her lines. She was not
scared in the least. Eric filmed the entire show
if we can figure out how to post it to you tube!

Same parents, same home
same beliefs, a part of us
is gone...we will always
be a little lonely without
brother to cheer us
and tell his tales of yore
bringing laughter from our
hearts to our lips.

Wild Azalea in Georgia

A friend in Georgia sent me this photo
of the wild Azaleas blooming near his
home. I can't get an Azalea (tame) to
live...they are supposed to like acid
soil and when they bloom they are so
beautiful, but all of mine die.

Brother's Gone--April 26, 2008

The Lord's Prayer

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down in green pasture,
He leadeth me beside still waters, he restoreth my soul.
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his namesake
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I fear no evil, for thou art with me.
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.
Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms 23

By Mary C. Carpenter
Grow old along with me
Two branches of one tree
Face the setting sun
When the day is done
God bless our love
God bless our love.

Dogwoods at the Edge of Galla Meadow

Dogwoods grow in the worst of places,
under other trees on hillsides. Makes
you wonder how they ever live to bloom.

Lilacs from Momma

Helen, I am sending Lilacs from Momma
today. I took a piece of her bush about
20 years ago. I tried to move it to the
meadow and it died. This tiny sprig I moved
to a new spot in my yard when I dug it.
It is finally blooming. Ittakes 7 years
for a lilac to bloom so this one has been
in the new spot at least that long. Momma
got her Lilac from Grandma Gaddy. The blooms
are pretty and they always remind me of
Momma. Hope you are still feeling ok
today.

Hope Everything is Rosy, Helen!

Helen said she liked Dogwoods so I found a
pink one...it was at my Library...so I went
in and got a couple of books. One is about
the Ark of the Covenant and the other Essays
by Capote. I finished one by Jimmy Carter
about his mother and it was very good. Also,
read The Other Boleyn (Velvet's ancestor) and
went to the Tech Library and checked out 3
books about Anne Boleyn and read. Patsy,
you might like the one about Lillian Carter..I
know you don't really like Jimmy, but the book
about his mother is good.

Good Sons In Law

The Lord has blessed me with
two good sons in law. This
is Eric showing Astrid how
to shoot her bb gun that Pop
got her. There is a rainbow
look in the background. I
think it is God's approval of
the two of them.

Dad's Squirrel Hunter

Erin had to have another ultra sound
because of a spot seen on the last one.
The Dr. said it was fine...she can get
back to squirrel hunting.
