This morning Laura came by on the way to school carrying roasted veggies for my lunch. She asked about the pink tree in the woodlands. I said sounds like a Wild Cherry, but I’ll look on my walk. Yes, it’s a Cherry and seems to be flowering early. It’s on a sheltered slope— sheltered from the elements. How wonderful to be sheltered. I like the sound of it!
The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide,
A shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever ill betide,
A shelter in the time of storm.
