Blogs are Helpful

They want photos at school of the teachers when they were age 11 or 12. I could recall that one of us posted some school pictures on their blog and I thought it was Helen. I searched today to no avail...so I called Smart Sis and she found this one. I am not really middle school age but I will use it. Thanks, Helen.

Live Entertainment for Our Party

Listen to Gigi say to Erin--you are ruining Greta's video!

We Celebrated The Big Day--No Elvis Party

Greta can move it, move it move it!
Sigrid wanted to read to Clayton but he did not have time to sit still. She said she felt she deserved an apology. I listened and this is another Powell reader!
We had lunch and it so so good. Laura made beef stew and we had gooey yellow cake. Erin brought cookies and pinwheels. The best part was..............
I did not have to cook!

Ingrid is a very, very good reader! Way beyond 4th grade level. She reads huge books and goes into her room and stays alone for hours with her book. Does that sound like anyone, Patsy?

Laura played batman with Clayton. He needed a car so Laura said here is Siggie's Barbie car with two girls in it. They had to dish those girls as he said no Barbies allowed in Batman's world.
Astrid was quiet as usual and her beautiful qualities lit up the room!

Astrid This Evening

Astrid has been going to a 'manners' class. This evening she is attending a dance and her escort is her father! She sure looks pretty. She already had good manners.

Happy New Year

Sometimes I surprise myself. I made this coconut pie yesterday. It was sooooooooo good. The meringue was what really made it delicious. I use 3 to 4 egg whites, start beating them with a little cream of tartar and a dash of salt. Next mix an 1/8 cup of water with a t of sugar and a level teaspoon of corn starch. Cook this in the microwave for about 30 seconds to thicken it. Pour this in the whipped up egg whites and add vanilla and about a fourth cup of sugar. Top the pie and bake at 350 degrees until brown. It makes a mile high meringue.
