Let it Snow

Ada’s little car is stuck in a snow bank at Harrison.  Erin was off to work.  Roads are clear she said.  Larry always made the grandkids snow ice cream when it snowed here.  He used Pet milk in it.  I hated it.  We grew up with dairy cows.  We never bought much canned milk.

I always have canned milk. For one thing, Cliff and I run out of milk once in awhile, or get low on it. There's nothing worse than trying to make sausage gravy and find out you don't have enough milk. I just add a can of condensed milk and an equal amount of water, and you can't tell you didn't use homogenized milk. After we moved to the city, Mother usually used canned milk in place of cream in a recipe. She even whipped it sometimes! However, my mom put me on Pet milk when I was eight months old because I wouldn't quit biting her breast and I would laugh about it. She thought I was too little to smack, so she simply started giving me a bottle. Because of that, I can drink the stuff right out of the can. I love it.

We have a little snow, maybe one inch on the ground from yesterday and last night. I think it's done now, and that's fine with me.
