Frosty Morn

When Ada came last she tried on her red hat.  It was too snug.  I ripped some out and redid it.  Hopefully, it will be perfect now.
This is from November 4.  We had our first frost.  The pasture glistened.
Laura brought me meatloaf and asparagus.  I had leftover fried potatoes to warm up with it.  I put it all in a skillet and warmed it on low.  Hadn’t had meatloaf since Larry passed.  It was a feast.  Phinnie sat and stared so finally I gave him half the meatloaf.

At least one day a week, I’m picking black walnuts from under these three walnut trees that were gifted to Larry’s mother 30 plus years ago by Ray Clara Boyd.  Clara, I just get buckets of them picked up and a windy day breezes in covering the yard with black walnuts again.  Ethel planted little foot tall sprigs.  Look at them now.  Bright side—I guess all that bending over is good exercise.
