March Coming
All the month of March I have FEDERAL jury duty.I have had local jury duty twice, but never Federal.
I will have to travel to Little Rock when called that
month. They will pay me 40 dollars plus milage.
I looked all through the form, and there was no way
to get out of it. I am not supposed to have to go more
than 4 times unless, I am chosen for duty and I will
have to attend the entire trial. When I had local duty,
I always knew the folks on trial and was dismissed.
Most the younger folks, I had taught...I will not be
as lucky in Little Rock. I am hoping Larry will go with
me and read while I am in court.
January about over--I'm Glad!
Friday we had ice. But mostly is has
been 'colder than a blue goose' as Patsy
says. It should get 60 today. Maybe Laura
and I can go to Bona Dea and walk the long
trail. Fleta is going back up on top of the
rock quarry to walk today so she can find
her hat she lost up there yesterday...when
she was wondering around 4 hours...lost.
I will not get lost at Bona Dea..there are
road signs.

Perspective!

In politics you can sometimes be an insider...
it should give the runner an advantage. Well,
this is what it is like being on the inside. You
don't know about what is going on on the outside.
You can only see the world through your own
little angle. G. W. Bush is on the inside. Who
ever is our next President....I truly hope SHE
will be an outsider with a clear view of the world!

Mother
My mother would have been 87 today...But she is gone. She only made it to 71.
And that was a struggled goal. I wish
she had known my little grand girls..
Astrid, Ingrid, Sigrid. I wish she had
known that Erin grew up and now is
going to have a baby of her own...little
Clayton. Somethings tho' are better
that she is not here to hurt for. Like
Helen being ill. And many other sad
events--Gilbert not being with his
babies. Oh, well, she'd say everything
happens as planned. Today I miss my Mother.
She was never disappointed in any of her
children. She loved us completely.
What a wonderful Mother she was!
