Astrid, now, has a BS in nursing. I know her and know she’s glad all the attention is passed. Monday she starts her first job at St. Mary’s Hospital. She will be a post surgery nurse. She did not even stop to take a breath. Friday was her last day at the pharmacy. That evening she walked in the big graduation ceremony. Then directly she turns to her new career. What can I say—that’s Astrid. After all, she ran long distance and would win races because she pushes through. She graduated cum laude. All that while she worked, farmed, exercised! She’s an examaple!

Congratulations! They are so short of nurses up here, my niece took an extra shift at a hospital one hour away for 90$ an hour! Good profession to be in.
Wow. Astrid’s pay is not near that but it’s 3 times what she was earning. I’m excited for her. Knowing Asti she might buy some…cows!
