Our Little Rock paper has an old photo in each
addition. This one was featured a few days ago.
The caption said they were men on a hunt (did
not say for what). Notice a chuck wagon for meals and
all hunters on mounts. Surely the game was large!
Powell men are not in the photo as all were still living in
Missouri at this date!

Seeing the photo reminded me of the chuck wagon races that occur around about September each year. I really want to go watch, maybe this year.
You're right about a daughter being different from a son. My brothers care but just don't know how to do for someone who is ill. Surely there are males who do know how to give care but they aren't in my family!
the pots are what i picked out for my vday present. i was just supposed to get one... but i guess greg wanted to get on my goodside so i got two!! we bought them at tjmax in branson. you would like them they are super heavy. they are mostly for stovetop cooking it said not to heat them above 400 in the oven. it's supposed to be an even cooking because of the heaviness.
Looks like fun to me! I'm going on a bird hunt saturday...I cant wait! I've never seen dogs work before!!
