On one of Laura’s family hikes, she pulled a wild Iris and stuck it in her pocket. When she arrived home, she promptly planted it. This year it bloomed. When Phinnie and I walked, I saw my bronze (I think that’s what it’s called) Irises starting to bloom. The wild ones are prettiest.

Getting cuttings/saplings from hikes do catch up fast to give us surprise blooms.
