Bradford Pear Tree

I think this tree is the most popular one in my
town. All new yards have them. All the store
island areas will have this type tree. It grows
fast and has a pretty shape without being trimmed.
The blooms stink and the tree never will be very big.
They break in storms because the wood is soft.

They are pretty, until you smell them that is. And yes, they are fairly short lived, so that's a downside too. But they always give my heart a lift in mid-March each year.

Annie, always looks to the bright side. Wish I could be like her.

All the towns around here have them also. I've never smelled one and they are certainly pretty so I look forward to them each year but I look forward to the dogwoods more.

Thanks Sister, but I think you're perfect just the way you are. Annie in Little Rock
