Well, I haven’t accomplished much today, but I finished reading this book. It’s about a 63 year old woman who loses her farm because she can’t pay the taxes. She decides she wants to go to California and see the Pacific Ocean. Annie resides in Minot, Maine, and that’s a long way from Hollywood. She has no car. She rides her horse and takes her dog along. This is not fiction. It really happened in 1953-54! It’s a great book.
