Wear Out Your Shoes

I found the date I bought my Muck shoes for walking in Galla Meadow—September 2012.   I’ve written on this Blog (since 2006–before FB was born) several times a week and I had talked about how expensive they were.  I’m proud to have worn holes in these shoes.  They lasted 9 years.  If these last that long, I’ll be in my 80’s when I get new ones.   I’m hoping I can walk so far and fast that these won’t last as long.

The leaves on the trees are starting to turn colors, but I’m wishing for rain or they will be dull and fall to the ground quickly.

When you have worn out your shoes, the strength of the shoe leather has passed into the fiber of your body. Measure your health by the number of shoes and hats and clothes you have worn out. RALPH WALDO EMERSON
