Today Helen rented a sander—big one from Home Depot. She has been working for weeks getting ready for this. She pulled up the carpet Clayton had put in the house. She had to remove tacks, nails, fill holes, but today the wood is being reclaimed.
You can see the hard work as she had to get all the stuff out of her way.
This was where Mom’s sink was. She filled the holes. Some small but one big.
She sent this today after a rough sanding. Those spots are from coals of the wood stove.
She would have to have crawled through this hole to get to her bed. She slept on the mattress she fixes for me when I stay overnight. She put it in the kitchen.
I am praying this doesn’t set off her asthma.
