Make Over

Pop had a dog kennel.  He kept it full of Feist dogs.  Astrid and Logan are turning the kennel into a chicken house and storage for feed and supplies.  It would be fine with Pop.  He’d want life in his kennel.  When Pop had puppies the girl’s came up and held them.  He say my pups need socializing and ask them to come to play with the puppies.  I think Pop needed the social activity.  Larry was a great grandfather.  He took the girls hunting, fishing, taught them to drive.  They built things in his wood working shop.  He’d take them to playgrounds and watch them play.  He’d make a big deal out of it.  He’d drive to Morrilton or Dover to their playgrounds.  He took them to Waffle House for breakfast. He took them to church.  Larry loved being a grandfather.  I think that was his purpose.  His grandparents loved him.  He’d learned from Ada and Finis about what his role was—to love.

It's wonderful he was such a good grandfather to those children. I know they will never forget that.
